january eleventh

...a day I will never ever forget.  1.11.09 to be exact. I received a phone call from Erynn telling me Bill & Patrick had been in a plane crash...my first thought was...'what hospital are they in, can we go see them?'....then the words I will never forget coming out of her mouth, the ones I never ever wanted to hear....ever.  'They died Michelle'  I remember EXACTLY where I was and what I was doing at that exact moment...I will never forget.  I was on the Queen Mary in Long Beach and couldn't get home fast enough. I called Heath, he was out with a friend....we both raced home to be with each other. I walked in the door and looked at him and we both sobbed like we have never sobbed before.  This was the first time in 7 years I had ever seen Heath cry.  We miss you more than you will ever know.  Patrick has inspired Heath to run, and he has run in several half-marathons since in Patrick's honor.  In 3 weeks he will be running in his 3rd Surf City Half Marathon -- the first was supposed to be him and Patrick together.  We love you P and we will see you in Heaven...
